1987--1991 华东理工大学化学系应用化学专业，大学本科。
1991--1994 云南白药实业股份有限公司，任助理工程师。主要从事药品检验，制药生产工艺及新药开发工作。
1994--1999 中国科学院昆明植物研究所, 硕博士连读研究生.
1999--2000 中国科学院昆明植物研究所, 植物化学开放室，理学博士，副研究员。
2000--2001 纽约市立大学李曼学院生命科学系, 博士后研究。
2002--     中国科学院昆明植物研究所, 植物化学与西部资源持续利用国家重点实验室，资源植物化学研究组组长。
2003--     研究组长/研究员；2005年获博士生导师资格；2004.10- 2005.2 牛津大学化学系化学生物学研究室，访问学者。
